• Ooooooooh dastardly plots are brewing in Dixing Nightmare Gothtown!


• The 'Nightless City' is very inaccurately named, btw, since it's ALWAYS NIGHT THERE.


• Then again, if it's always night then there can never be daytime, and there is then, by definition, no longer a difference between night and day, thus rendering the very concept of 'night' irrelevant. So I guess it still works, philosophically speaking.


• I kind of like Goth Girl. I hope she turns out to be cool.


• Why do I get the feeling that Poker Face's big bro likes to tease his serious little brother? I like him, though. It seems to be done with a lot of affection.


• Jin Trust Fund Baby had better be good to Flashback Girl, I like her. I have a feeling there's going to be a whole double scoop of tragedy there, though.


• Hang on, that's little punk nephew with the red dot's mom, isn't it? Aw heckit, she gets super dead.


• I think I'm starting to see some of the clan color-coding, which is very useful.


• No donkey in this episode. 8/10.

(My dad's coming to visit this weekend, so between that and the stress cleaning I probably won't get to watch any more episodes until sometime next week. It's a lot harder to surreptitiously watch tv than it is to sneak on social media before bedtime. I'm enjoying this so far, though!)

Trying to match up your descriptions to the character names is a hilariously fun experience.

I'll (probably) get them down eventually, I hope!! Right now I really only have Wei Wuxian, because everybody and their donkey says his name at some point in this show and that's super helpful. It's very nice of them to put up a little caption every time there's a new character to give you their name, but it goes by SO FAST and then doesn't get repeated!

I'm glad the nounsmashing naming system is at least entertaining, though. :D

I print out a list of characters with a picture and their various names to keep handy while I'm watching. It helps. A lot. =D

I am also watching The Untamed verrrrrry slowly, and enjoying it a lot! The color coding is indeed very useful, although it gets confusing when it comes to the main character... but maybe that's just me. ;-)

And, heee, your nicknames are a lot like mine. I have Stoneface and Jin Douche and immediately knew who you were talking about. (I actually think I'll post about all my nicknames at some point and let people see if they know who I mean!) :-)
